NLC And TUC Suspend Nationwide Strike.

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, and the Trade Union Congress TUC, have suspended the ongoing nationwide strike. After consecutive meetings with the Nigerian President Bola Amend Tinubu. 

The leaders of the both unions Ajaero, and Osifo made the decision on Wednesday evening. 

The meeting was sequel to an earlier engagement with that National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu where the NSA informed the protesting labour leaders of the arrest for the perpetrators of violence against the NLC, president Joe Ajaero, in Imo State.

It was gathered that the meeting which lasted for close to one hour during which various affiliates and state chapters reviewed the outcome of the meeting held between the leaders of the organized labour and Ribadu.

Speaking after the meeting, the National Deputy Vice-President of the TUC, Tommy Etim, conformed that the strike had been suspended.
