Economic Shutdown As NLC And TUC Declare Nationwide Strike.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, and the Trade Union Congress TUC, have decided to declared a total nationwide strike starting from on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

This agreement was made by the two union leaders following an unusual meeting of the National Executive Council in Abuja.

The two main labour unions, have made it clear that, the members and supporters have already started a nationwide mobilisation campaign.

This action by the Organized Labour followed the brutalization of NLC National President, Joe Ajaero, in Imo State last week.

And also there had been widespread outrage by the Organized Labour accusing the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Mohammed Barde, of complicity in the recent attack on Ajaero, in Owerri, the Imo State capital.!!
